Spent one and a bit hours on horseback with the family this morning. Once again we joined Jenny from African Animal Adventures who took us along the banks of the Thamalakane River in Maun. This was the fourth time for the children, and they enjoy it more each time. We were 8, excluding Jenny, 2 adults and [...] Harking back to November when I was looking for goodies to send back to the UK as Christmas presents. Spending most of my time in Maun I thought it would be great to buy some African curios as gifts, after all, this is the tourism capital of Botswana, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to find [...] As of this morning there are new penalties for traffic offences committed in Botswana. I found a list of the new penalties and have put them on the Botswana Roads and Road Safety website. Maybe they will help reduce the carnage on our roads, but only if they are all enforced – not just speeding. |
