Spent one and a bit hours on horseback with the family this morning.<\/p>\n
Once again we joined Jenny from African Animal Adventures<\/a> who took us along the banks of the Thamalakane River in Maun.\u00a0 This was the fourth time for the children, and they enjoy it more each time.<\/p>\n We were 8, excluding Jenny, 2 adults and 6 children.\u00a0 Jenny does a good job of matching rider to horse, based on experience and so on.<\/p>\n [shashin type=”album” id=”3″ size=”small” crop=”n” columns=”max” caption=”y” order=”date” position=”center”]<\/p>\n Since none of us are experienced riders Jenny doesn’t include anything too adventurous in our rides, although the water crossings are great fun!\u00a0 When my sisters visited last year they went for a longer ride with gallops and full-on swimming.<\/p>\n Jenny also has a base on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans near Gweta, and uses Gweta Lodge’s camp ground on the pan for overnight camps.\u00a0 Pictures from our trip their last year: coming soon.<\/p>\n So, if you have a couple of hours to spare in Maun give her a call and go for a ride.<\/p>\n Edit: since writing this post Jenny has moved to Island Safari Lodge<\/a>.
